Welcome!
Hello and welcome to LT 130 Library Media and Technology. My name is Linda Morrow and I will be your instructor. Following is a description of the course, some technical details as well as practical advice. I'm pleased to have you in this class and look forward to a fun and rewarding semester with you.
Course Description: This course addresses the technology skills and knowledge required for library work. The course also addresses the role of providing access to and educating the patron in the use of technologies and equipment relevant to information seeking, access and use. Topics covered include the utilization of web tools, graphics and other projected and non-projected media, operation of appropriate equipment and the production of multimedia, graphics and displays. CSU
Duration: This is a 3-unit online course. It will begin on January 20, 2011 and will run for 17 weeks. To be successful in this course make certain you have enough time. You will be required to spend about 9 hours of work on this class each week.
Course Management System: We will be using Palomar’s Blackboard. To access our class go to http://www.learn.palomar.edu/ , log in and look on the right side for the list of your classes. This class will be listed as:
